Dawn is a Fine Artist and Illustrator. She teaches art in an holistic capacity, working with both adults and children. She is also a Reiki Master, practitioner and teacher and a Psychic Medium.

A deeply creative soul, Dawn has been drawing, painting and 'making' since childhood. Some of her earliest memories are sewing fabric scraps on her mothers sewing machine.

Her career began in local government. However, in 2003, she enrolled onto an Art and Design course at a local college. This was a turning point, and so began a creative journey. Firstly studying Surface Pattern Design at Teesside University then later, Fine Art, attaining a BA (Hons) in 2010.

Interior design and property renovating are also passions and in 2014, Dawn and her husband aquired a dilapidated listed rural farmhouse in Teesdale, which they have lovingly restored. Living in an ancient building, surrounded by stunning landscapes, the rugged beauty of nature, the wild flora and fauna, the spirit of the land, all influence her bright, colourful artworks.

Working with Dawn

Primarily a painter, Dawn uses a variety of mixed media and techniques. These can be demonstrated during her art sessions. Both groups and individual teaching sessions can be arranged by appointment and hosted at her home studio near Hamsterley or occasionally at local venues. She has been working on an on line course which will hopefully be available soon. An online facebook group "Creative Sanctuary" is a sacred space for women who wish to connect on a more spiritual level. Her popular art journalling course will run again in 2025.

You can visit Dawns home studio to view and purchase art works by appointment and she is willing to discuss private commissions.

Reiki sessions, healing art sessions and Mediumship readings are all strictly by appointment. Mediumship readings are also available on line via video.
